Dear Humaira Sayd: I wanted to take the time to compose this letter. I've been writing this letter in my head for the last couple of days trying to find a way to compose the details and be able to convey to you just how much I appreciate what you have done for me. I would like to say there are countless physicians...some good, some fair, and a very special few, extraordinary. Many answer the calling and go on to be excellent but only that special few are extraordinary, YOU are among the extraordinary! You answered a special calling to me not only a physician, but a surgeon; spending countless hours away from your family and life. Not just any surgeon but an extraordinary surgeon. Why do I keep repeating extraordinary? Because it is the only word I can think of to describe you and our experiences with you from the very beginning. You and Sarah were so compassionate and understanding towards me and how wonderful you were with my husband. When you detected my diagnoses you didn't hesitate to act upon and organize the procedures promptly. You sat with me and explained everything about the necessary surgeries. I was amazed on how the images of my foot were taken, labeled and code fed in your database for you to present your findings to discuss with me. In addition, I am very impressed with your enhanced pain management treatment your practice provides to patients who suffer from Migraines, Arthritis, and Back Pain Etc. You spent time with me and made us feel important, but more important you made me feel at ease with what I was going to be facing on December 24, 2013. The one thing I will never forget on this day is how you held my right hand as I was being put to sleep. This is something that touched my heart and will never forget. If that wasn't enough we met again post op prior to my second surgery and again you took the time to speak with me to explain the same surgical plan and asked if I had any questions giving me that reassurance. After my second surgery on December 30, 2013, the surgery, again, you met with us, putting me at ease and letting us know everything went well with such professionalism and compassion, a mixture we don't often see. Unfortunately not many physicians share your warmth and understanding. There is no way and no words to properly thank you for all that you have done. This letter needs to be recognized not only to you but to your patients, the community and peers. Not only are you are the best Podiatric Physician/Surgeon but you are an amazing person. Your talent both in the operating room and out is a beacon of hope for the future of all your patients.
